Desert Garden Visitor

This is a painting I recently completed and sold.  It is oil on board and is 11 x 14 inches.  I have a print version of it on my Fine Art America site.

New computer and return to blogging

I had to get  new computer so that and a road trip has delayed the bogging, but not working on drawing and painting.  This is a sketch of a two masted ship, maybe a Barque.  This was done in pencil and free hand with out a ruler.  The straight lines are a bit of a pain.

Caboose Generator - Block In

This is an oil painting done in a little bit of a tonal style.  This is an electrical generator on a retired caboose.  This is how the old American Cabooses got electricity in the caboose.  The movement down the rails would run this and charge a battery.

Happy New Year, Native American Sketch

I finished this sketch today.  I then realized I have not posted in this year yet.  This is a pencil sketch of Stephen Small Salmon from Montana.  He is a member of the Pend d'Oreille tribe from the Flathead Reservation in Montana.  I had great photos of him from our trip up to Montana.

Victoria Sketch

This is a pencil and chalk sketch of Victoria, a great woman taken from the world much too soon.  She was a great friend of our family.  She will be sorely missed.

Lake Hiawatha painting

This is a Holiday painting for my Dad. I have many happy childhood memories of fishing at this northern Colorado lake near Red Feather Lakes, Colorado.  The sunsets over the lake were almost as good as the fishing.
