This is an oil study I worked on.  It is not an original design but is a practice for working edges.  It is sometimes nice when a painting works pretty well.

Plein Air on the Bay - Bay Bridge from Kent Island

I took a road trip with the wife and I finished up at Hemingway's Restaurant looking west at Annapolis and the Bay Bridge.  This is a small 5 x 7 canvas done in oil paint.

Dairy Barn and Silo

This is the latest oil painting block-in.  This is a Dairy Barn and Silo with cast shadows.  It will need some work to fix a few things but it is a decent start.

The Sheds - Block-in

I have been working on the oil painting skills.   This is Ala Prima, which is just one go at it.  It was about two hours of work.  I will probably go back and fix the tree trunk on the left, but not bad for one hit of painting.  This is a 9 x 12 inches.

Still Life Flowers and jars

I have been trying to do larger oil paintings.  This is the second still Life I have started.  This is the block in of the basic colors and shapes.  This will need some tweaks now the basics are in.This is 11 x 14 inches, so larger than a lot of paintings I have done in the past.  I have a little more time now.  I will have a lot more time in August after retiring from the day job.

I have been working on some oil paintings, so I have not finished any of them.  I do work on these ink sketches to work the hand eye coordination.

Father's Day Plein Air

Happy Father's Day, I went to Mayo Beach, Mayo, Maryland.  This is a small Plein Air painting in oil from the beach.  he platform is an Osprey nest .
