Famous Afghan girl Sketch

I did a sketch of the famous Afghan girl picture from 35 years ago.  It is a great photo and a good sketch for practice in pencil.

Today's post is an experiment.  I did this one in opaque watercolor called gouache.  This is a copy of a P-51 Mustang painting.  First time for using this medium.

Bird Friends

Tonight's post is a Sumi ink painting of two birds on a branch talking/chirping to each other.

Addison

Tonight's post is an oil painting I did for a friend of his daughter.  The size is 9 x 12 inches.  Addison has dyed her hair Blue for the pandemic, so it made the hair fun.

Mid Flight Sumi

Tonight's post is another Semi bird.  This one is mid flight.

Dinner on the Fly

Tonight's post is a Sumi style watercolor of a bird chasing down it's dinner.  This is practice of drawing and brush skills.

Boys on the Buoy

This is an oil painting based on a photo taken by my father on a ferry from Seattle to Vancouver.  These seal lions are hanging out on a buoy, probably to rest and to avoid Orcas Whales.
