Head Sketch # 15

This is an another of the Head Sketches.  This is a sketch of a French Foreign Legionnaire from the 1950s in Vietnam.  I have been working on the head sketches as a way to improve my overall drawing skills which will help on the painting skills.  Painting is drawing with a brush and it all is hand-eye coordination.

Regal Sunbird

This is an ink drawing, but the bird is really more interesting.  The best way to describe this bird is an African Hummingbird.  He is a Regal Sunbird, they are not related to the Hummingbirds of the Americas.  Nature can track animals into similar looks and behaviors while the species are separated by continents.
