Oriole Sumi

Happy Tuesday, It's part of the Sumi series.  Ink brush with colored marker.  I like how these are progressing.  Relaxing and a pretty good sketch after work.

Rooster

Happy Monday, I worked on a Rooster mostly with the ink brush, with a little red marker.

Love Birds with Blossoms

I worked some more with the Ink Brush and the markers.  The black is all ink brush and everything else is markers.

Sumi Eagle

Sumi Eagle done with four different tones of grey markers, two colors of yellow and a ink brush with black ink.  All done in a Japanese Sumi style.

Nuthatch Sumi

This is a Nuthatch done with Ink brush and markers.  Nuthatch's are a bark crawling bird going up and down the tree looking for insects.

Squawking Bird

Tonight's activity is a continuation of the ink brush work.  I used a combination of grey markers, two blues, pink, yellow and orange, with a little brown on the branches.  All are blended to get the shapes.

Bluebird and Chrysanthemum

More experiments with markers and ink brush.  I like the bird but I need to work on the flower.  I need to change its size and offset it from the same level of the bird.  So bird good, flower needs work.
