Back at it - Dragon Fly

I am back from some work travel.  This is a small sketch I did while gone.  It is ballpoint pen, and marker of a Dragon Fly.

Happy Birthday, Dad

Happy Birthday Dad!  This is the card I did for the most important man in my life.  He made sure I am the Man I am today.  He likes fishing in Colorado for trout so I did this on red paper in silver markers.

Robins on Cherry Blossoms

Robins on a Cherry tree branch with blossoms.  This is done with ink brush, grey and pink markers.

Rufous Sided Towhee

Happy Friday, this is a Rufous sided Towhee.  We get these in the yard here in Maryland in our yard.  This was drawn with Ink brush, and markers - grey and burnt sienna.

Wagtails

Brush Work with grey marker of Wagtails.  Practice, practice, practice.  Work everyday to get better.  Everything good takes time and work.

Happy Tuesday, I worked this with a black ink brush and some grey markers, Sumi Style.

Thrushes and Fall Foliage

Tonight's activity, is more of the brush and marker work, Sumi style.  It is a little harder with markers to get a fade between colors but it is simpler than working with a brush.  Plus markers are more cat resistant since I sometimes have three cat helpers checking me out and trying to drink the watercolor brush water jar.
