More practice - Skeleton study

I have worked more on drawing studies, I did this study of a hand bone structure done in pencil.   The story is the study if bone structure and muscles helps with drawing skills.  I guess it does but maybe it just helps with drawing.

Today is the son-in-law's birthday.  He likes his duck hunting so he gets the Canvasback Duck for his card.  This was done with colored pencils.

Foot Study

A little bit every day, work towards getting better and eventually you are better.  So this is a pencil sketch of a foot in mid stride, done with pencil.

Character Sketch

Tonight's post is another of the sketches I did on my travels.  This woman has a lot of character, which is code for her face is lopsided.  Now is it character or a flawed part of my learning process.  The great thing about art is it doesn't matter.

Cherry Blossom And Stone Lantern - Finished

I worked on this today, I am getting back into painting after the travel.  Since the Cherry Blossoms have been screwed up by the weather in DC this year, this will be your best shot of seeing them.

Sketch Profile of Short haired Woman

This is another pencil sketch done while trapped on an airplane.  I think she is not happy to be on the plane either, though she was a picture in a book.  I think i spent too much time traveling.  I will try to get to the easel for some painting tomorrow.

More Airline Sketch time

This is more of the sketching I did on the airplane rides I took the past couple of weeks.  It is not an original design but something to pass the time captive in an airplane seat.  It is done with lead pencil.
