SnowBoarder James - block-in

I started the block-in on Snowboarder James.  I don't think I will do much with his Hoodie, I like the way it roughed in.  The hat, its Logo, the reflection on the googles, and the face will get the majority of Attention to finish this up.

Thunderclouds study

I worked a Thunderclouds study in small oil study.  I am working on a series of sky and clouds.  Expect more small studies in the coming days.

Grand Canyon Watchtower - block-in

I worked on this today, I bit of an experiment.  I did a more detailed block-in, which will still need a lot of adjustment to make it a successful study in Oil paint.  The sky and clouds are good but everything else is going to need attention and adjustment.

Bear Cub with Salmon

I worked on this as a Birthday card for my brother-in-law Danny whose Birthday is today.  I will probably tweak the foreground and get this cub into the water tomorrow with better detail.  I used colored pencil and pentel ink pen to do this sketch.  So I fixed the water, fresh eyes make it easier.

River Access sketch

Tonight's sketch is a pencil sketch looking towards a river through the trees.  Enjoy!

Beach Clouds

I have been working on this Beach Clouds for the last two nights.  Tonight I think it has a better show of progress.  I think i posted the block-in on this but I cannot find the first picture to post so you just get this one tonight.  It is late and I need  go to bed.  You can probably scroll back and find it.  This is a 9x12 oil and I am just working on the clouds, the edges between the various layers and the water surface.

Rabbit

This has been a busy odd weekend so not much artwork done.  This is a mixed media Rabbit of colored pencils and pentel ink pens for the fur texture.
