Swamp Cypress

This is a pen sketch of a Swamp Cypress tree on a bank.  More practice for the 10000 hours of mastery.

Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak

I think I have finished this one.  I worked on the foliage and the tree trunks.   I will leave this alone for a bit and see if I still think so.  If you are ever in Colorado Springs go to the Garden of the gods, especially near sunset.   This is a larger oil painting at 16in x 20in.

Dancing Tree people

Back to the tree motif, this is a pen sketch of Dancing Trees.  Something quick and fun for the return of the work week.

Black Hills South Dakota - round two

I worked on the Black Hills today, ironically making them a little less black.  I started to add the pine trees and to further refine the foreground meadow.  The trees will need some more work as will the meadow.

Old Tree Snag Ink drawing

I am continuing the work on trees and experimenting with different styles.  This ink drawing is done in a wood block style.  I used Coptic ink pens.
