This is a Plein Air Oil painting from Daniel's Park Colorado.  It is near Highland ranch and is an over look over the South Platte River Valley.  The Rocky outcrop on the horizon is called Devil's Head.  The whole area is part of the front range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains,

Back after travel to the west

I have returned from a road trip out to North Dakota, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, and Ohio. I did not do as much painting as I would have liked but I did get to take some great photos.  This is a Plein Air oil painting I did of a Cottonwood Tree on the Colorado River near Moab, Utah
