Squawking Bird
Tonight's activity is a continuation of the ink brush work. I used a combination of grey markers, two blues, pink, yellow and orange, with a little brown on the branches. All are blended to get the shapes.

Bluebird and Chrysanthemum
More experiments with markers and ink brush. I like the bird but I need to work on the flower. I need to change its size and offset it from the same level of the bird. So bird good, flower needs work.

Rough In - Kerri Scuba
I roughed i this today as part of my Father's Day fun. It is a little rougher than I would like especially in the face but I will work this some more to get it the way it needs to be of my Daughter Kerri. This is from a few years ago after her first scuba dive. This was done in oil paint.

Mutt Dog in Cartoon style
I sketched this tonight. A little work every night. Some times involved, sometimes easier since the day job does wear you out sometimes. This is pencil. 2H and 6B. So a light and dark leads.

Cherry Trees in marker and brush
Well I have survived another week of work and came home to work on the passion for art. I used an ink brush to paint the trunks. An Ink Brush is like a fountain pen with an ink cartridge but instead of a nib if has a brush tip. I then used two colors of pink markers, three colors of brown and two of green for the rest. I think this would have been better if the color was added with watercolor paint but I have been trying the markers to figure out the best applications for its use.

Still Life in Charcoal
Charcoal work of glass ware. I think I need to work this a little more to improve some of the background and the shadows. Working in charcoal is a great way to develop skills. All part of the 10,000 hours needed to master things. Though mastery is an elusive goal, you always need to be learning.
