Airedale Sketch
I have been working on pencil sketching to improve the skill set, much like playing the scales on a piano you have to work on the skills to improve or at least maintain the ability. This is a pencil sketch of an Airedale Terrier dog.

Degas Sketch
I worked on a copy of a Degas Sketch. It is okay but it is part of the process. Everything is an experiment and you need to do a lot of things to get better so this experiment is just that another experiment.

Happy Birthday - Kerri
Today is my daughter Kerri's Birthday. This is the card I made for her. I drew shapes and the watercolored in two colors per shape. I then calligraphed the Happy Birthday. So "Happy Birthday!"

Ode to Da Vinci
This is a copy of a Leonardo Da Vinci sketch of a study he did for a battle painting he never completed. It doesn't matter that he never did the painting as the prep sketches are excellent. This is an experiment and I am no where close to Da Vinci, but I like to practice after a Master to improve my skills. This is done in pencil.

Tulips Fields and Windmills - Block-in
So I was overcome by events last week and did not get any other drawing it contrary to my last post about needing to do more. I did come home tonight and start on this Dutch scene of Tulip Fields and a Windmill in oil paint. I guess I want spring to come and see some flowers.
