Denver & Rio Grande Western narrow gauge engine

Today's artwork is a scratchboard of a Narrow Gauge engine 2-8-2 from the Colorado R.R. - the Denver, & Rio Grande Western.  This was an early experiment in scratchboard.  This is one of the ones which came together easily and surprised me.  So enjoy and feel free to ask me questions about anything I post.

    Scratchboard is a white clay base covered with a black ink. You can use nibs, steel wool, and other sharp objects to pull the ink off. You can also dye or stain the surfaces for different effects. Thank
